Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate daily routes, schedule deliveries with regional operations, and ensure timely, accurate service for patients. You will maintain knowledge of HME products, verify details with teams, and drive efficiency while protecting patient information.

You will collaborate with delivery technicians and management to optimize routes, address order issues, and uphold regulatory standards in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of health care admin/customer service, claims, billing, call center or management experience.
• Senior level requires two years of related experience and one year of exact job experience.
• Exact job experience in Medicare certified HME/Diabetic/Pharmacy/home medical supplies that bill insurance.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license in state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Route all orders daily and create sensible routes for delivery technicians.
• Maintain knowledge of current HME products and applicable regulations.
• Clear all routes daily with delivery technicians to ensure stops are completed.
• Screen tickets for mistakes and resolve with Management or responsible party.
• Create routes that meet delivery windows while staying within budget.
• Develop best practices for zoning, routing, dispatching, and handling emergencies.
• Make outbound calls to customers and technicians for scheduling and routing with great customer care.
• Coordinate with teams who enter tickets to verify details and resolve issues.
• Verify delivery/pickup details and communicate with technicians and couriers.
• Aim for regional goals like productivity and lower costs per delivery.
