Job summary

Apploi is seeking a Director of Dining Services to lead its dining operations in a healthcare environment. You will plan menus, supervise cooks and dining staff, and ensure high-quality service for residents and patients.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, cost control, and staff development. The director will collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service, monitor inventory, and implement efficient policies.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a culinary management role, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality, culinary arts, or a related field preferred.
• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with food safety and sanitation protocols and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the dining services department, including menu planning, food preparation, and service delivery.
• Manage a team of cooks, servers, and other dining staff to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of residents and patients.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and minimize conflicts.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities to team members.
• Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations.
