Job summary

We Care Nursing of New Jersey is seeking an experienced Director of Dining Services to lead our culinary team and oversee menu planning, food preparation, and service delivery for residents and patients.

You will manage cooks and dining staff, develop compliant, high-quality menus, monitor costs, and ensure adherence to safety regulations while collaborating with other departments to ensure exceptional dining experiences.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a culinary management role, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality, culinary arts, or related field preferred.
• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with food safety and sanitation protocols and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the dining services department, including menu planning, food preparation, and service delivery.
• Manage a team of cooks, servers, and other dining staff to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of residents and patients.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and minimize conflicts.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities to team members.
• Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations.
