Intersect Healthcare of Big Rapids is seeking a Cook to prepare and serve meals for patients, residents, and staff in the afternoon shift. You will follow dietary plans, ensure safety and sanitation, and support menu planning and quality control.

Responsibilities include preparing meals per planned menus, inspecting diet trays, and adhering to infection control policies. Experience in quantity food prep and knowledge of sanitation are preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of six months paid quantity food preparation and working with recipes of at least 25-50 servings.
• Must have had some formal or on-the-job training in quantity food preparation, estimating quantities of food needed, storing food supplies, general kitchen management and principles and requirements of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment.
• Prefer some knowledge of therapeutic diets.

• Prepare and serve various food items.
• Inspect diet trays to ensure correct diet.
• Review menus prior to preparation.
• Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions.
• Assist in maintaining food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner.
• Report accidents/incidents as established by department policies.
• Attend meetings as required.
