Job summary

LISVH is seeking a Prep Cook to assist with resident, staff, and visitor meals in accordance with standardized recipes and production sheets. This role emphasizes safe, sanitary food production and efficient kitchen operation.

You will help with storage, diet modifications, logs, and equipment maintenance while upholding health and safety standards. Flexibility for evenings/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years culinary experience preferred.
• Serv-Safe or Food Manager certification required or to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of resident, retail, and catering items following recipes and production sheets.
• Ensure all food items are properly stored and accessible.
• Demonstrate knowledge of sanitation, food safety, and hygiene practices.
• Complete production sheets and logs; monitor food temperatures.
• Operate and clean equipment per procedures and safety rules.
• Support the Supervisor/Executive Chef with assigned duties.
