Job summary

Abacus Insights seeks an experienced Business Solution Manager to bridge client needs with design, owning requirements quality from inception to build.

This client-facing role requires healthcare data fluency, SQL proficiency, and the ability to translate business context into precise specifications. You will collaborate across teams to ensure data flows, standards, and reuse patterns across engagements, with opportunities for growth and impact.

Qualifications

• 3+ years working in the US healthcare domain and with healthcare data (claims, provider, membership/eligibility, benefits, prior authorization, or PBM).
• Payer experience required — direct experience working with or for a US health plan (Medicare, Medicaid, or Commercial).
• Able to write and execute SQL to explore, probe, and prototype against data. SQL is required; exposure to Databricks or Snowflake is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions to understand business context, pain points, outcomes, and success criteria.
• Translate use cases into clear, testable requirements with traceability from business need to design.
• Document requirements unambiguously and translate them into design the developers can build from.
