Job summary

Prominence Advisors is seeking a Solution Engineer to join our team. The role sits at the intersection of client, sales, and delivery teams, translating business challenges into practical, tailored solutions for healthcare data and analytics.

You will engage early in the sales process, define technical approaches, evaluate architectures, and collaborate across SMEs to ensure feasible, well-scoped proposals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in solution engineering or a comparable client-facing technical role focused on healthcare technology.
• Experience with healthcare data platforms, analytics, interoperability, and clinical or operational systems.
• Deep knowledge of modern data, cloud, analytics, integration, or AI architectures.
• Ability to lead or contribute to client discovery, requirements gathering, and scoping activities.
• Strong problem-solving skills to translate business needs into technical recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with executive and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in client discovery conversations to understand goals, requirements, and constraints.
• Design tailored solutions and implementation approaches that are technically feasible and realistically scoped.
• Evaluate architecture options, dependencies, and build-vs-buy considerations.
• Collaborate with sales, partner managers, technical SMEs, and delivery leaders to bring the right Prominence expertise into each opportunity.
• Develop technical approaches, architectures, demonstrations, estimates, timelines, staffing recommendations, scopes, presentations, and proposal content as needed.
• Translate between business needs and technical considerations, moving comfortably between executive/business conversations and detailed technical discussions and adapting the level of detail for each audience.
• Provide subject matter expertise during client conversations, presentations, and solution-development activities, while recognizing when deeper technical expertise is needed and bringing the appropriate SMEs into the conversation.
• Quickly develop enough fluency in unfamiliar technologies or technical domains to ask the right questions, identify risks or gaps, and determine what additional expertise is needed.
• Identify relevant Prominence experience, case studies, prior work, and proof points that demonstrate our ability to solve similar challenges.
• Surface assumptions, dependencies, risks, and open questions early, so proposed solutions are both compelling to clients and realistic to deliver.
• Support the transition from sales to delivery by ensuring key requirements, decisions, commitments, assumptions, and expectations are clearly documented and communicated.
• Adapt your approach as new information emerges, priorities shift, or an opportunity evolves.
