Job summary

Abacus Insights seeks a Principal Software Architect to set the technical vision for its healthcare data platform. This senior IC role drives architecture across data, applications, cloud, and agent-driven development, mentoring engineers and guiding design from concept to production.

You will create reusable foundations, enforce standards, and partner with Security, AI Engineering, and Client Solutions to scale architecture across teams and ensure production readiness.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software engineering experience, including senior architecture roles.
• Experience setting enterprise architecture standards and mentoring engineers.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), containers, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Own reference architecture for core data platform and SaaS patterns.
• Set architecture standards for scalability, HA/DR, and multi-tenant deployments.
• Design and govern HITRUST/GovRamp-aligned solutions for healthcare data.
• Lead architecture governance and mentor teams across disciplines.
• Drive production-readiness, observability, and secure SDLC practices.
• Collaborate across product engineering, security, and client solutions.
