Job summary

Sentara Health in Virginia Beach, VA, is seeking a Senior Healthcare Data Analyst to convert vendor data specs into mapping documentation that aligns source data with Enterprise Data Platform structures. You will collaborate across business, vendors, and technical teams to ensure data is integrated, transformed, validated, and delivered within the analytics ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, data mapping, ETL, data warehouse, or related data environments.
• Advanced-level skills in Microsoft Excel, SQL, Power BI, data validation, Databricks.
• Experience developing source-to-target mapping documentation, business requirements, and technical specifications.
• Ability to interpret source system documentation, file specifications, data dictionaries and requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and documentation or collaboration platforms such as SharePoint, Confluence, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Translate vendor file specifications into detailed data mapping documentation.
• Act as liaison among business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
• Support data quality, data stewardship, QA, UAT, and post-deployment validation activities.
• Communicate findings clearly to operational, clinical, finance, or executive stakeholders.
