Job summary

Pacifica Hospital of the Valley is seeking a Controller to lead accounting practices and maintain GAAP-compliant records and reports. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.
• Five years as a Controller or equivalent, ready for advancement.
• CPA license preferred or licensing in-process.
• Solid understanding of GAAP; healthcare industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish policies, procedures and programs to ensure effective accounting systems.
• Monitors preparation of statistical reports and financial statements.
• Coordinate external financial and regulatory audits.
• Collaborates with management on financial and budgetary matters.
• Assist with the implementation of internal controls.
• Oversee and monitor federal, state and local compliance.
