Pacifica Hospital of the Valley in Los Angeles seeks a Controller to lead accounting practices and maintain fiscal records in accordance with GAAP. The role reports to the executive team and guides financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include establishing accounting policies, coordinating external audits, monitoring financial statements, and collaborating with management on budget matters while coaching staff to achieve accuracy and efficiency.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.
• Five (5) years as a Controller or equivalent; advancement readiness.
• CPA License or licensing in-process preferred.
• Solid understanding GAAP.
• Health care industry experience.
• Medium to advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to coach and motivate staff.

Responsabilidades

• Establish policies, procedures and programs to ensure effective accounting systems.
• Monitor preparation of statistical reports and financial statements.
• Coordinate external financial and regulatory audits.
• Collaborate with other management on financial and budgetary matters.
• Assist with the implementation of internal controls.
• Oversee and monitor federal, state and local compliance.
