Job summary

Barton Malow in Charlotte is seeking a project manager to lead healthcare construction initiatives across the Greater Charlotte Region. The role supports relocation for the right candidate and focuses on delivering patient‑centered facilities.

You will oversee procurement, planning, field operations, cost control, and project management activities, collaborating with design teams, trade partners, and hospital clients to ensure safety, quality, and on‑time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management
• 6+ years GC/CM construction management experience
• Healthcare construction experience, ideally projects $10M+
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to support projects across the Greater Charlotte Region

Responsibilities

• Procurement: develop bidders list and bidding strategy; manage bid documents and data; conduct pre-bid meetings; write subcontracts.
• Planning: set up complex project schedule; develop site logistics; cash flow and manpower projections; constructability reviews; review estimates; mobilize site.
• Field Operations: establish safety plan; manage punch lists; coordinate with unions; emergency procedures; BIM/MEP coordination.
• Cost Management: manage general conditions budget; track changes; monitor costs; log budget entries in Prolog; assess profitability.
• Management: lead project team meetings; process RFIs and submittals; archive documentation; interface with Architect/Engineer; pursue repeat/new business; assist with RFPs and presentations
