Senior Project Manager – Healthcare Construction

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex healthcare construction projects in a growing market. This position is ideal for a construction professional with strong general contracting/construction management experience and a proven background delivering healthcare facilities.

The successful candidate will oversee projects from preconstruction and procurement through construction, closeout, and owner acceptance, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, schedule, cost control, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead healthcare construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Develop and manage project schedules, logistics plans, budgets, cash flow, and manpower projections.
• Develop procurement and bidding strategies, solicit subcontractor bids, evaluate proposals, and negotiate scopes.
• Manage subcontractors, consultants, architects, engineers, owners, and project stakeholders.
• Monitor project costs, changes, forecasting, and overall financial performance.
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, constructability reviews, and project documentation.
• Establish and maintain a strong jobsite safety culture and support emergency/crisis procedures.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and other building systems, including BIM/coordination processes.
• Lead project meetings and maintain effective communication with the project team and client.
• Manage punch list, closeout, inspections, and agency acceptance.
• Support business development activities, including proposals, presentations, and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in general contracting or construction management.
• Demonstrated experience managing healthcare construction projects, ideally $10 million or larger.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, project controls, scheduling, procurement, and cost management.
• Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively lead project teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and client service.
• Willingness to work on projects throughout the applicable regional market.
