Job summary

SSM Health is seeking a Coding Education Specialist to develop and coordinate coding education programs. You will promote consistency in coding and documentation, serving as a liaison between providers and coding teams across the organization.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), and at least three years of coding-related education experience. The position is remote with a 40-hour workweek and good opportunities for career growth within SSM Health.

Responsibilities

• Assess provider documentation to identify improvement opportunities and educate on coding processes.
• Act as SME for providers and coders, guiding daily account processing issues.
• Establish and coordinate internal quality review processes and training for providers and coders.
• Evaluate provider documentation for clarity and consistency to ensure optimal code selection; educate on coding guidelines.
• Perform audits of provider documentation to identify opportunities or risks and develop education.
