Job summary

Savista is hiring a Coder II in Lexington, KY to review clinical documentation and code ICD-10-CM diagnoses and surgical CPT procedures for hospital and professional claims. You will validate APC calculations, abstract clinical data, and ensure coding accuracy at a 95%+ quality target.

AHIMA or AAPC credential and at least 1 year of coding experience are required. The role collaborates with client staff and Savista teams, participates in trainings, and supports continuous improvement in revenue

Qualifications

• AHIMA or AAPC credential required
• At least 1 year of relevant coding experience in the last 6 months
• Passing score of 80% on pre-employment tests

Responsibilities

• Assigns ICD-10-CM codes for professional or technical claims at production rates and high quality
• Validates APC assignments where applicable
• Abstracts clinical data for coding and data needs
• Mitigates coding-related claim scrubber edits and questions
• Participates in client and Savista meetings and trainings
• Maintains current knowledge of coding conventions used at client sites
