Job summary

Savista, a healthcare revenue cycle partner, seeks a Coder II to review clinical documentation and code diagnoses and surgical CPT procedures for hospital-based claims. You will ensure accurate EM level coding and validate APC calculations.

In this role you will abstract clinical data, mitigate coding-related claim edits, and collaborate with clients and Savista teams. A AHIMA or AAPC credential and at least one year of relevant coding experience are required.

Qualifications

• Credentials required: AHIMA or AAPC.
• One year of relevant coding experience in last six months.
• Passing score of 80% on specified pre-employment tests.

Responsibilities

• Assigns ICD-10-CM codes, professional or technical EM level, and surgical CPT codes at production rates with high quality.
• Validates APC assignments, as applicable.
• Abstracts clinical data appropriately.
• Mitigates diagnosis, EM level, and/or surgical CPT coding-related edits.
• Participates in client and Savista meetings and training sessions.
• Maintains knowledge of coding conventions in use at client sites.
• Performs other related duties as required.
