Job summary

Health Care for the Homeless is seeking a Client Service Representative to deliver first-line customer service to clients, staff and visitors. This full-time role may operate at multiple agency locations in Baltimore, requiring flexibility and strong data-entry with Centricity or EHR systems.

The CAAII will assist with registration, scheduling, insurance verification, referrals, and enrollment while coaching junior staff and ensuring HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; higher education preferred.
• 2+ years in health or human services; Bachelor's in public health or related field may substitute for experience.
• 1+ year of customer service experience.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and ADA requirements.
• Familiarity with third party insurance and managed care concepts.
• Experience operating standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist clients, staff and visitors with professional, courteous service.
• Register clients, verify insurance, schedule appointments, and input data accurately.
• Provide clerical support to clinical staff at the worksite.
• Interviews clients and external resources to collect complete information.
• Maintain data in Centricity, Beacon, and other systems as directed.
