Holding Hands OpCo LLC is seeking a Billing Assistant for our Burbank, CA offices. The role supports the Billing and Admissions function, ensuring accurate and timely patient claims processing within the EMR system.

You will review coding, collect and verify billing data, and communicate with payors and patients. This position emphasizes accuracy, deadlines, and collaboration with clinical staff to improve revenue cycle processes.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant billing experience or equivalent training.
• Experience with commercial and Medicaid billing.
• Proficiency in medical terminology.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Meet all deadlines and goals as assigned.
• Ensure timely and accurate collection, preparation, and verification of billing information submitted in the EMR billing system.
• Review billing collection and denial reports and recommend changes for corrected claims.
• Serve as a liaison to payors and patients for questions and data requests.
• Review charge entries for complete CPT code, ICD-10 code, and other required billing information daily.
• Identify denial trends and train practice staff to avoid denials in the future.
