Hospice of the Valley is seeking a Billing & Collections Specialist to join our administrative team in a hybrid/local role in Phoenix. You will handle billing and collections across programs, review pre-billing documentation in the EMR, submit claims, and monitor payer adjudication to support timely reimbursement.

The position requires healthcare billing experience, strong communication and math skills, and careful attention to detail.

Qualificações

• Minimum three years of healthcare billing and collections experience.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicare Advantage, commercial and AHCCCS billing.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional image, enthusiastic attitude and self-motivated work ethic.
• Strong math and data entry skills, including 10-key by touch.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsabilidades

• Performs preliminary work in preparation for billing.
• Bills assigned payers and programs.
• Ensures timely follow-up and collection of outstanding accounts receivable for assigned payers.
• Maintains accurate accounts receivable documentation and data within the EMR.
• Provides responsive, professional service to internal and external customers.
• Ensures accurate posting of Medicare and other payer payments/adjustments to patient accounts.
• Maintains and enhances professional skills.
• Adheres to high standards of personal and professional conduct.
