Shepherd Center is seeking a Billing and Collection Specialist to ensure steady cash flow and accurate coding for hospital and physician accounts. The role supports both on-site and potential hybrid work arrangements, requiring 3–5 years of billing experience and strong organizational skills.

The successful candidate will handle documentation, data entry, and coordination with PFS teams to resolve denials and maximize timely payments.

Qualificações

• Three to five years of hospital/physician billing experience.
• Inpatient, outpatient, and physician billing experience.
• Working knowledge of PC spreadsheet and database software.
• Strong organizational and mathematical skills.
• Typing speed 45 words per minute.
• CPAR certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Meet monthly cash goals for the organization.
• Code accounts to system requirements for management of open accounts.
• Report unusual collection issues to PFS Supervisor/Manager.
• Post all billing activity to the A/R system.
• Obtain medical records from HIM and attach needed documents for payment.
• Monitor unbilled accounts and provide weekly status reports.
• Coordinate with outpatient/inpatient staff on referrals and authorizations.
• Gather payer documents to ensure timely payment.
