Job summary

Jefferson Health seeks a Billing Analyst to provide professional billing support to the Anesthesiology and Pain Institute. You will analyze physician and technical billings, code encounters, and ensure accurate entry into Epic, while addressing denials and authorizations.

Responsibilities include maintaining month-end accruals and revenue reports, and ensuring ASA coding for anesthesia billing to maximize reimbursement, in a full-time on-site role at the Philadelphia site.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree preferred; High School Diploma required.
• Typing and basic computer skills.
• Minimum of 2 years current physician billing/coding experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and billing codes.
• Epic billing/revenue experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and technical billing support to the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Institute.
• Analyze physician/technical billings to maximize reimbursement.
• Code encounters with diagnosis and CPT codes; ensure proper entry into system.
• Review physician/hospital billing practices for compliance with federal/state/third-party rules.
• Handle denials and provide solutions; submit authorizations for outpatient procedures.
• Maintain and report month-end accruals and monthly revenue.
• Ensure ASA coding for anesthesia billing to maximize reimbursement.
