Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a team member to assist the financial and administrative operations of the Physician Billing Program, handling revenue cycle tasks from charge entry to payer communication. You will work with physicians, patients, and payers to ensure accurate and timely processing.

Responsibilities include posting payments, analyzing denials, and ensuring accurate charges daily, with collaboration across clinical and administrative teams to optimize reimbursement and patient accounts.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with reimbursement analysis.
• Familiarity with data entry, coding and billing procedures.
• Healthcare work experience, preferably in a medical office setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing financial and administrative support to the Physician Billing Program.
• Post charges for physicians daily using CPT/HCPCS/ICD9/10 with modifiers.
• Analyze reimbursement issues and insurance contracts; apply payments; resolve over/underpayments.
• Enter insurance data and submit claims; review remittance lists; identify payments and denials and rectify issues.
• Provide education and feedback to front-end operations.
• Coordinate communication with patients and insurers; support office operations.
