Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of billing/coding experience in healthcare.
• Knowledge of CPT coding and third‑party rules.
• Experience in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• CPC or CCS certification preferred or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Review technical and professional charges related to clinical research.
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations and enterprise policies.
• Consult with clinical research personnel for clarification on data.
• Communicate issues to appropriate parties daily.
• Assist with interdepartmental transfers for sponsor-related charges.
• Serve as initial contact for billing inquiries from internal partners.
