Job summary

Veritas Search Group is seeking a Director of Business Intelligence & Analytics to lead the design, delivery, and governance of healthcare analytics. You will translate clinical, operational, and financial data into actionable insights for executives and stakeholders.

The role combines BI strategy, technical execution, data governance, and team leadership in a hybrid role near Irvine, CA. Strong SQL, data modeling, and experience with enterprise BI platforms are essential.

Qualifications

• 7–12 years in BI/Analytics or related disciplines
• 2+ years leading analytics teams or enterprise initiatives
• Healthcare BI experience with clinical/operational data
• Experience with raw data, source-system tables, and data warehouses
• Translate business requirements into analytical solutions
• Data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting skills
• Experience in migrated or post-migration data environments
• Ability to partner with executive and technical teams

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise BI strategy, reporting standards, analytics delivery, and data governance practices
• Lead development of curated datasets, semantic layers, data models, and certified reporting sources
• Work hands-on with raw healthcare data from EHR, practice management, billing, revenue cycle, and finance systems
• Write and optimize advanced SQL for data extraction, transformation, modeling, reconciliation, and validation
• Oversee data ingestion and data exchange to centralized analytics environments
• Partner with IT, engineering, and third-party vendors for data integrations and ETL
• Drive data quality, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis
• Establish data definitions, metric logic, documentation, ownership, and reporting controls
• Ensure traceability of metrics back to source data
• Translate data into executive dashboards and performance reporting
• Deliver ad hoc analysis for clinical operations, revenue cycle, finance, and growth
• Collaborate with leadership to align analytics priorities
• Support BI platform transitions and data warehouse migrations
• Set expectations, communicate risks and timelines
• Lead and mentor a small analytics team while staying technically engaged
