Job summary

Avita Health System Crestline is seeking an Authorization Specialist to join our Centralized Scheduling Department. You will contact payers to request service authorizations and collect patient financial and demographic information from charts, orders, or providers.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of healthcare administrative experience and familiarity with insurance processes. EPIC experience is a plus, and related coursework may be preferred.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in a healthcare setting performing related tasks.
• Familiarity with healthcare insurance processes.
• Associate degree in healthcare or business administration (preferred).
• Courses in medical terminology and human anatomy (preferred).
• Experience with EPIC information systems (preferred).
