Job summary

Avita Health System in Crestline, OH is seeking a Centralized Scheduler to join the Centralized Scheduling Department at our Crestline location. The role focuses on arranging admission for inpatients and hospital-based outpatient testing, ensuring accurate patient data and adherence to hospital policies.

You will interview patients or representatives, enter admission information into the computer system, and coordinate with ancillary departments while supporting performance improvement

Qualifications

• Previous experience dealing with customers.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience or education working with financial accounts.

Responsibilities

• Arranges for the efficient and orderly admission of inpatients and admission of individuals who have hospital-based outpatient testing or procedures.
• Ensures that the patient information is collected and that patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures.
• Interviews incoming patient or representatives and enters information required for admission into computer database.
• Distributes appropriate information to ancillary departments.
• Participates in performance improvement and CQI activities.
