Qualifications

• Experience in insurance and billing is required.
• Experience in long-term care, hospital, or related healthcare accounting preferred.
• Experience with Medicare Advantage and Medicaid eligibility preferred.
• Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and processes new and extended cases within the Central Authorization workflow.
• Verifies patient eligibility and benefits with payers and updates authorization status.
• Submits authorizations via payer portals or fax and tracks renewal and recertification.
• Maintains accurate demographic and billing data in EMR and billing systems.
