Job summary

Northwood Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Lowell is seeking an Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our dynamic care team. This full-time role offers a competitive weekly pay range of $23 to $25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

The AR Assistant will support the finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks, manage billing discussions with residents and responsible parties, and assist with Medicaid redeterminations as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Six (6) months of experience in bookkeeping or accounting practice; health care accounting experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Responsibilities

• Discuss billing situations with residents and/or responsible parties, including the Director of Finance
• Maintain accurate and timely records and reports, including all accounts, journals, deposits, ledgers, and more
• Secure all cash and valuables on hand, per policy
• Back-up for the Payroll position
• Complete Medicaid redeterminations when applicable
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Financial Services
