Job summary

Northwood Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Lowell is seeking a skilled Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our dynamic care team. As an AR Assistant, you will assist in day-to-day accounting and patient billing, supporting the finance team and ensuring accurate records.

This full-time role offers a competitive weekly pay range of $23 to $25 per hour, with benefits and opportunities for career advancement within a rewarding healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six (6) months of bookkeeping or accounting experience; healthcare accounting experience preferred but not required.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Responsibilities

• Discuss billing with residents and/or responsible parties, including the Director of Finance.
• Maintain accurate and timely records and reports: all accounts, journals, deposits, ledgers, etc.
• Secure all cash and valuables on hand, per policy.
• Back-up for the Payroll position.
• Complete Medicaid redeterminations when applicable.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Financial Services.
