Job summary

Northwood Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Lowell is seeking an Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our care team. This full-time role supports the finance team with day-to-day accounting functions and offers a competitive weekly pay range based on experience.

Responsibilities include discussing billing with residents, maintaining records, securing cash, serving as payroll backup, and handling Medicaid redeterminations as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Healthcare accounting experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Discuss billing with residents or responsible parties, including the Director of Finance.
• Maintain accurate records, journals, deposits, ledgers, and reports.
• Secure cash and valuables per policy.
• Back-up for Payroll position.
• Complete Medicaid redeterminations when applicable.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Financial Services.
