Job summary

Northwood Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Lowell is seeking an Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our finance team. The AR Assistant will support day-to-day accounting functions and assist with billing, deposits, ledgers, and reports in a skilled nursing environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma and at least 6 months of bookkeeping or accounting experience; strong English skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.

Responsibilities

• Discuss billing with residents and/or responsible parties, including the Director of Finance.
• Maintain accurate records and reports including accounts, journals, deposits, ledgers, etc.
• Secure all cash and valuables per policy.
• Back-up for the Payroll position.
• Complete Medicaid redeterminations when applicable.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Financial Services.
