Job summary

nCare MD is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join a hands-on, product‑oriented team building AI‑forward healthcare software. You will work with clinicians and operations staff to understand real problems, prototype solutions, and ship production systems that improve care delivery, patient engagement, and workflow efficiency.

The role emphasizes ownership of end-to-end features, effective API integrations, and leveraging AI to accelerate development while ensuring compliance with healthcare

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Healthcare technology experience is required.
• Experience building and shipping production applications.
• Experience with EHR/EMR, practice‑management, clinical, billing, or other healthcare systems.
• Strong skills in Python, .NET/C#, React, APIs, and relational databases.
• Experience with system architecture, backend services, and integrations.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Understanding of HIPAA, security, authentication, and audit logging.
• Strong product mindset and ability to work directly with users.
• AI experience is important; comfortable building LLM-powered workflows and AI agents.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clinicians and operations teams to define software problems.
• Prototype AI-forward solutions and build production systems.
• Integrate EHR/healthcare systems and APIs (HL7/FHIR).
• Develop workflows and AI-assisted processes for care management.
• Own end-to-end parts of the product from design to deployment.
