Highmark Health is offering a Summer 2027 Data Science Research & Development (DSRD) Graduate Internship. The role applies advanced data science, ML, AI, and software engineering to solve healthcare challenges.

Interns work with researchers, data scientists, ML engineers, and software developers on high-impact projects spanning knowledge graphs, medical imaging, predictive modeling, and AI applications. Participants will gain hands-on experience with clinical and healthcare insurance data,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred.
• Pursuing a Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Biomedical Informatics, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field.

Responsabilités

• Engage in projects across graph data models, medical imaging, predictive modeling and AI applications.
• Collaborate with researchers, data scientists, ML engineers, and software developers to develop analytical solutions.
• Evaluate models, conduct experiments, and communicate findings to technical and business stakeholders.
• Support design and development of analytics to transform healthcare outcomes.
