Job summary

Nassawadox Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking an admissions professional to manage the facility’s admissions workflow, answer inquiries, and coordinate tours and assessments. You will support the Marketing Director in achieving census and quality mix goals while ensuring a smooth resident transition.

Responsibilities include maintaining bed availability, processing admissions paperwork, and communicating needs to staff. A healthcare background and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years in a healthcare setting; long-term care preferred.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook and Internet navigation.
• Confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and make independent decisions.

Responsibilities

• Meet the needs of inquiries from hospital discharge planners, families, and referral sources.
• Conduct facility tours and manage admissions with updated bed availability.
• Maintain professional inquiry processes and follow-up.
• Understand census, quality mix, and bed management needs.
• Coordinate with staff to ensure smooth admissions and patient transitions.
• Maintain referral management and waiting lists per guidelines.
