Job summary

Bayside Health & Rehabilitation Center in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Director of Admissions to lead census management and guide patients and families through transitions from acute to post-acute care.

The role requires a compassionate, organized professional with strong communication skills to collaborate with the healthcare team and referral sources. This is a salaried/exempt, full-time position offering competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, marketing, or related field preferred.
• Two years of experience in admissions, marketing, or sales within a healthcare setting, preferably skilled nursing.
• Strong understanding of the skilled nursing and long-term care industry.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with referral sources and community partners.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve census targets.
• Monitor and analyze census trends and develop action plans to address census challenges.
• Identify potential referral sources and build strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, and community organizations.
• Represent the facility at community events, health fairs, and outreach events to promote the facility and services.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to meet the needs of incoming patients.
• Conduct facility tours for prospective patients and their families, providing information about services and care options.
• Other duties as necessary for the successful operation of the facility.
