The Admissions Assistant plays an important role in welcoming new residents and their families, helping make the transition into our facility as smooth as possible. Responsibilities include assisting the admissions director, greeting residents, families, and visitors, collecting and organizing admission paperwork, maintaining resident records, coordinating with hospitals

Qualifications

• Previous healthcare, skilled nursing, admissions, or administrative experience required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with computers and basic office software.
• A positive attitude, professional demeanor, and a genuine desire to help others.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the admissions director with the admissions process for new residents.
• Welcome residents, families, and visitors with professionalism and compassion.
• Collect, review, and organize admission paperwork and documentation.
• Maintain accurate resident records and update information as needed.
• Communicate with residents, families, hospitals, referral sources, and facility departments.
• Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide general administrative support.
• Work closely with the Admissions Director and interdisciplinary team to ensure a smooth admission experience.
• Customer service and room readiness.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
