Job summary

Life Care Centers of America seeks an Admissions Assistant (Non Nurse) to facilitate the admission process in accordance with applicable laws and Life Care standards. This role supports patients and families at the point of admission, gathers paperwork, and coordinates with an interdisciplinary team to ensure a smooth intake experience.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, prefers healthcare exposure, and demonstrates integrity, confidentiality, and a customer‑service orientation.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Prior healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather and enter all necessary admission paperwork.
• Provide assistance for patient and family at time of admission.
• Assist with follow up visits and interviews with all new patients after admission.
• Assist or solely provide facility tours to potential and newly admitted patients, families, and any visitors.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients.
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance.
• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
• Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours.
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
