Job summary

Providence Place, a Lifespark Skilled Nursing Community in Minneapolis, MN, is hiring a Health Unit Coordinator. This full-time, on-site role runs 8:30am–5:00pm with weekend and holiday rotation, and pays $22.25–$29.47/hr.

You will manage resident records, coordinate care, and liaise with families and staff to ensure smooth operations. You will assemble charts, schedule visits, review paperwork, and support physicians with timely information.

Qualifications

• Health Unit Coordinator experience preferred, especially in long-term care or skilled nursing.
• Proficient computer skills including email, Word, Excel, and related software.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and maintain resident medical record charts and admission labels.
• Review documents, order medications, and track future appointments.
• Communicate with residents' families about appointments and transportation.
• Gather hospital summaries, histories, and physician notes as needed.
• Coordinate transfers and outpatient visits; keep filing up to date.
• Audit records for regulatory compliance and communicate physician updates.
