Job summary

Parkland Health seeks a detail-oriented Health Unit Coordinator to coordinate patient services in the Lew Sterrett North Tower. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Transcribes, prioritizes, processes, and communicates orders to support patient services.
• Admits, transfers and discharges patients; manages charts and valuables.
• Prepares and processes patient files; updates information to maintain records.
• Coordinates procedures by processing paperwork, X-rays and data; arrange follow-ups.
• Orders and delivers medical paperwork and supplies; respond to routine requests.
• Acts as unit contact; assists with information requests for staff and patients.
• Monitors environment of care; cleaning and organization tasks.
• Transports patients as needed and assists in training staff.
