Parkland Health in Dallas is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to coordinate clerical activities and support patient services in the Jail Main Clinic's Lew Sterrett North Tower.

Responsibilities include processing orders, admitting and discharging patients, maintaining patient files, coordinating procedures, and serving as the unit's primary contact for staff, patients, and families. Requires high school diploma and CPR certification; one year healthcare or clerical experience preferred.

Formación

• Requires one year of healthcare or clerical experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR certification (Heartsaver) required upon hire or by dates specified; NAHUC certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Transcribes, prioritizes, processes, and communicates orders to support patient services.
• Admits, transfers, and discharges patients; creates charts and manages patient valuables.
• Prepares and updates hardcopy and computerized patient files to maintain accurate records.
• Coordinates procedures and arranges follow-up appointments as needed.
• Acts as primary unit contact for doctors, nurses, patients and families.
