Job summary

Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a Health Unit Coordinator to join our 4E General Medicine team. The Health Unit Coordinator serves as a resource for unit nursing staff, allied health departments, medical staff, patients, and visitors by assisting with patient care coordination, providing information, giving direction, securing assistance and resources, and troubleshooting.

This is done in a manner, which reflects the vision, mission, and philosophy of nursing and Park Nicollet Health

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• Completion of a Health Unit Coordinator program preferred.
• Previous customer service experience, medical terminology and keyboarding skills is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care coordination and provide information to patients, visitors and staff.
• Serve as a resource to unit nursing staff, allied health departments and medical staff.
• Troubleshoot and secure assistance and resources to support patient care and smooth operations.
• Provide exceptional customer service reflecting the vision and philosophy of Park Nicollet Health Services.

Work Schedule:

0.6 FTE Straight Days with every other weekend.

Preferred Qualifications:

High School diploma preferred. Completion of a Health Unit Coordinator program preferred. Previous customer service experience, medical terminology and keyboarding skills is preferred.
