Methodist Hospital is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to join our Inpatient Float Pool. The role supports unit nursing staff, coordinates patient care, provides information to patients and families, and helps secure resources to ensure smooth operations and a positive patient experience.

The schedule is 0.7 FTE with straight day shifts and every other weekend. Preferred qualifications include a High School diploma, completion of a Health Unit Coordinator program, and prior customer service

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• Completion of a Health Unit Coordinator program preferred.
• Previous customer service experience, medical terminology and keyboarding skills is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care coordination and information for patients and families.
• Direct and guide staff and visitors to needed resources.
• Troubleshoot issues to support nursing staff and clinical operations.
