Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of related study with nutrition/food science focus.
• Equivalent combination of post-high school education and specialized experience.
• No sponsorship currently available.

Responsibilities

• Handles patient meal service orders and enters them into the Dietetics Software system.
• Provides professional customer service via telephone, email, and in-person.
• Collaborates with Dietitians regarding food/drug interactions and meal delivery issues.
• Interprets and processes diet orders and reviews meal tickets.
• Triages calls from units and clinics regarding trays or nourishments.
• Retrieves information to assist with tray assembly and nourishment labeling.
• Provides basic education on therapeutic diets.
• Ensures meals meet patient requests and diet orders.
• Communicates patient concerns with registered dietitian or dietetic technician.
• Verifies unusual diets and nutrition supplement orders.
• Uses computer to record and print recipes, menus, and inventories.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
