Job summary

ERM is hiring a Health & Safety Manager in Elkhart, IN. This full-time, 40-hour-per-week role will establish, implement, and continuously improve the site’s environment, health and safety programs while providing strategic and tactical EHS leadership across the facility.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in safety or related field and at least 5 years of manufacturing H&S experience, with strong regulatory interpretation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health, engineering, or related field preferred.
• 5 years of relevant experience in H&S within a manufacturing environment.
• Professional safety certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, manage and improve EHS programs for the facility.

• Conduct risk assessments and daily risk reviews with operations.
• Coordinate regulatory inspections and audits; ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Oversee contractor safety, LOTO, confined spaces, PPE, and energy isolation controls.

ERM is hiring a Health & Safety Manager in Elkhart, IN . In this critical role, you will be responsible for establishing, implementing, managing and continuously improving the environment, health and safety programs for the facility. The H&S Manager will have broad knowledge of H&S compliance programs and, where required, H&S specialty areas including Industrial Safety, Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Risk Management, and Process Safety. This role will provide guidance in managing budgets to support outside services and operating expenses. The role includes strategic H&S planning as well as a tactical role for site-wide H&S systems, H&S regulations, and best practices. This is a full-time (40 hours/week), limited-term role for a duration of 4 months , renewable.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health, engineering, or related degree preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to provide detailed regulatory interpretation of federal and state OSHA regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
