Job summary

ERM is hiring a Health & Safety Manager for an on-site role in Elkhart, IN. You will establish, implement and continuously improve EHS programs for the facility, with broad responsibility for compliance, audits and risk management.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, at least 5 years in H&S in manufacturing, and strong communication with the ability to interpret federal and state OSHA regulations. A driver’s license and strong interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in safety, occupational health, engineering or related field.
• 5 years of relevant experience in H&S within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to provide detailed regulatory interpretation of federal and state OSHA regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement and continuously improve H&S programs for the facility.
• Lead EHS governance, audits and compliance across the site.
• Conduct daily risk reviews, Gemba walks and field observations to ensure critical controls function.
• Review incidents, near misses, and risk observations; drive corrective actions and CAPA.
• Coordinate contractor work, permit conditions, and safety training for personnel.
• Oversee PPE programs, waste management and permit compliance calendars.
