Job summary

ERM in Elkhart, IN is seeking a Health & Safety Manager (Field) to establish and improve HSE programs at the facility. This full-time role focuses on regulatory compliance, risk management and field leadership.

The term is 4 months, renewable, with responsibilities including incident investigations, training, permits, and contractor oversight. Bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ manufacturing H&S experience preferred. Competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health, engineering, or related degree preferred.
• 5 years relevant experience in H&S within a manufacturing environment.
• Professional safety certification is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to provide detailed regulatory interpretation of federal and state OSHA regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, manage and continuously improve EH&S programs for the facility.
• Lead hazard assessment, risk reduction and incident investigations.
• Oversee compliance with OSHA regulations and regulatory reporting.
• Conduct daily field presence and gemba walks.
• Coordinate corrective actions and CAPA.
