Westmag in South San Francisco, CA, is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to design and lead the safety program across our U.S. manufacturing facilities. You will own Cal/OSHA and federal OSHA compliance, write safety programs, run training, and manage incidents.

You will collaborate with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Automation and Facilities to ensure safe onboarding of lines, equipment and staff, perform risk assessments, and drive corrective actions, with regular travel to Idaho.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of health and safety experience in manufacturing, including at least 2 years leading a site safety program.
• Working knowledge of Cal/OSHA (Title 8) and federal OSHA standards and OSHA recordkeeping.
• Hands-on experience with machine guarding, lockout/tagout, hazard communication and incident investigation.
• Experience managing safety for a mixed workforce of employees and temporary/contract workers.
• Experience managing safety programs across multiple sites and willingness to travel regularly between California and Idaho.
• Ability to build safety programs and training from scratch in a fast-changing environment.
• Excellent communication and training skills on the production floor and with leadership.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsabilidades

• Own IIPP, update and maintain safety programs as operations change.
• Build and run core safety programs (LOTO, machine guarding, PPE, etc.).
• Identify and control hazards in processes including high-risk areas.
• Lead job hazard analyses and pre-start safety reviews.
• Develop onboarding and training for contract operators; partner with staffing agencies.
• Deliver new-hire safety orientation and ongoing training.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain OSHA records and coordinate environmental compliance.
• Run floor walks, inspections, and safety committee reporting.
• Foster a culture where anyone can stop unsafe work.
