Westmag is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to lead our Cal/OSHA and federal OSHA compliance across production floors in South San Francisco, CA and Idaho. You will own safety programs, incident management, training, and contractor safety oversight to protect a growing workforce.

You will partner with Production Operations and Facilities to embed safety into new lines and processes, travel between sites, and drive continuous improvement of safety metrics and culture.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering or related field; equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of health and safety experience in manufacturing, including at least 2 years leading a site safety program.
• Working knowledge of Cal/OSHA (Title 8) and federal OSHA general industry standards and OSHA recordkeeping.
• Hands-on experience with machine guarding, lockout/tagout, hazard communication and incident investigation.
• Experience managing safety for a mixed workforce of employees and contract workers.
• Ability to travel regularly between California and Idaho.

Mansioni

• Own and manage the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) and Workplace Violence Prevention Plan.
• Lead core safety programs: lockout/tagout, machine guarding, hazard communication, PPE, forklifts, emergency action and fire prevention, ergonomics, heat illness prevention.
• Identify and control hazards across processes and equipment.
• Lead job hazard analyses and pre-start safety reviews for new lines and changes; influence equipment specs and layouts.
• Develop onboarding and training for contract operators and coordinate with staffing agencies.
• Deliver new-hire safety orientation and ongoing training; mentor line leads as trainers.
• Lead near-miss reporting and incident investigations; drive corrective actions to closure.
• Maintain OSHA 300/300A/301 records and coordinate environmental compliance.
• Conduct daily floor walks, inspections, and safety committee activities; report metrics monthly.
• Foster a culture where anyone can stop unsafe work and scale EHS systems for U.S. growth.
