Job summary

Parallel Systems is hiring an Senior EHS Specialist to own and drive the company-wide safety program from our Los Angeles headquarters. You will implement the safety manual, ensure Cal/OSHA and federal OSHA compliance, and roll out programs across California and Georgia sites, including a new manufacturing facility buildout.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in EHS for manufacturing, industrial or heavy equipment operations.
• Experience implementing and running a safety program across multiple sites.
• Working knowledge of Cal/OSHA Title 8 and federal OSHA General Industry.
• Direct experience running a powered industrial truck training program.
• Experience designing and delivering safety training for employees and supervisors.
• Able to work independently as the sole EHS professional.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the safety manual and written EHS programs across all sites, meeting Cal/OSHA and OSHA requirements.
• Stand up a powered industrial truck program with training and recertification tracking.
• Own safety training company-wide and manage records.
• Create site-specific safety orientations for new hires, contractors and vendors.
• Train supervisors on safety responsibilities and incident reporting.
• Own and train on heat illness prevention, first aid and CPR/AED readiness, emergency action and fire prevention plans.
• Lead safety buildout for the new manufacturing facility, including hazard assessments and safe work procedures.
• Oversee environmental compliance including hazardous materials, battery storage and permits.
• Run OSHA injury and illness recordkeeping, investigations and corrective actions.
• Conduct site inspections and audits with site leaders.
