Job summary

Westmag in South San Francisco, CA, seeks a Health & Safety Manager to build and lead our safety program across production floors. You will own Cal/OSHA and federal OSHA compliance, develop written safety programs, deliver training, and manage incidents for our CA and Idaho sites.

Reporting to the Head of Production Operations with a dotted line to the COO, you will implement IIPP, machine guarding, lockout/tagout, and hazard communication while collaborating with Production, Manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in safety-related field.
• Experience leading a site safety program in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Cal/OSHA and federal OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Own Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) and maintain safety programs.
• Build and run safety programs including lockout/tagout, machine guarding, PPE and hazard communication.
• Identify and control hazards across processes including robotics, stamping, and high-voltage testing.
• Lead job hazard analyses and safety reviews for new lines and equipment.
• Develop onboarding and training for contract workers and staffing agencies.
• Deliver safety orientation and ongoing training; grow line leads as trainers.
• Lead incident investigations and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Maintain OSHA records and coordinate environmental compliance.
• Run safety walks, inspections, and cross-functional safety committee reporting metrics.
